christmas day

burt working on the walker...they never make baby stuff easy to put together...i'm working on the stockings
christmas morning...mccoy plays with his new walker...it was fun because no one else was up, so it was just us watching him get excited about a new toy with all the fun buttons and noise...

unfortunately, his feet don't quite touch the ground yet...it was so cute because he would lean forward and his little legs would go back like he was flying...

then he learned to hit it...

now, it is stocking time and onto our second outfit of the day...

new winter hat...it's alittle big but he's so cute...i don't think he knows what to think of it yet...

christmas eve fun

on christmas eve, mccoy got to hang out with his great grandmother...he thought her lap was rather comfy...we had such a wonderful evening...my mother, bridget, patrick, my aunt vicki and i went to church for the 5:30 service, while the boys stayed back and started dinner...it was a beautiful service, and mccoy did well...but we were all eager to get home and start the festivities... my cousin, jessica robin, and her daughter, indigo wren (10 1/2 months) loved playing around...she was so fascinated with mccoy...indigo also has the best little squeal...it makes you want to smile and laugh...

it was also cute that their outfits matched...that just happened by accident

that evening, we really worked on mccoy's sitting ability...it doesn't show it in this picture, but he learned to sit all by himself over christmas...he still wobbles from side to side but he sits up!!!

mccoy's christmas pajamas...i got these pjs at old navy, but burt thought the top was too girly, so i sewed a penguin onto the it...unfortunately, i put it too close to the top of the neck, so in every picture, the penguin's head is being smothered by mccoy's chin...

new toy

we received the johnny jump up as a gift from a baby shower, but we just now busted it out during christmas...mccoy wasn't sure what to do in it...he kind of spun around and then kind of hopped, but eventually he loved it!

over the christmas break, we got to meet up with mandy and michael at jose's in hot springs...it was so nice to get away and enjoy the holidays with our friends...mccoy was so good at the restaurant...he is still at that age where we can take him out to eat and he's not too fussy...mccoy also loved his margarita (just kidding!)

mccoy and i headed down to hot springs last monday to celebrate christmas with my side of the family...burt came down on wednesday...mccoy also got to meet his uncle patrick for the first time...he had such a good time with him... this little outfit was from uncle p at one of our baby showers

sunday, before christmas, our salon had it's christmas party at julee turner's house...she had it decorated so pretty...here we are in front of one of her trees... when burt and i got there, it was mccoy's eating time...so julee offered to feed him and max (amy clark's son) wanted to help as well!

so, i've been working on mccoy's stocking forever, and i finally finished it!!!

here is the beginning of it... i hand stitched all of it except the parts that i machine sewed

he absolutely loved it especially all of the jingle bells on it

i also made him his first christmas ornament, a sock monkey!

on sunday, we opened all of our presents from the box family...
here, we are working on him sitting up...luckily, he had something to fall on

mccoy loved grabbing the tags and the pretty presents

lucky and papa always give the cousins a nutcracker for christmas...this was mccoy's first one! he loved watching it's mouth opening and closing...thank you lucky and papa!

brad kloss's birthday night

saturday night, we went to the kloss's for brad's birthday...it was so much fun and it was the first time we put mccoy to sleep after his last feeding in a strange place...of course, he did wonderful, and it was a great time for burt and i to hang out with adults! when we left, though, it was heartbreaking to wake up mccoy and put him in the carseat, and then to have to wake him up again once we were home...but it was worth it!
