playdate with hudson

yay yay...boy's day! these are two big boys...they had such a good time watching each other and playing...hudson showed mccoy how he can crawl backwards! mccoy still isn't digging the crawling thing yet, but he loves to stand up all of the time! we'll definitely have to get these boys together again soon...thanks tara and hudson for having us over!

gracie comes to town!!!

burt went out of town two weekends ago, so gracie (mccoy's name for my mom) came to town... (i know, i'm running alittle behind on blogging)...she was sporting mccoy's hat! she also brought liaden, uncle patrick's dog... starting out with alittle play time...yay yay new toys!

gracie's feet were getting wet in her tennis shoes, so she borrowed some of burts boots that we were giving to goodwill...i think she looks good in them...i tried to convince her to take them...just kidding...

daddy's home!!! sunday night, i surprised burt by keeping mccoy up until he got home around 9 that night...i think they were both ready to see each other!

later on in another green outfit...i bought this little romper before we had mccoy, so i didn't know if we were having a boy or girl (somehow i envisioned pink bows with the green, but i definitely think the leprechaun hat is way cuter!) once again, it was alittle snug, so it turned into just a shirt...

auntie b comes to town

last saturday night, bridget came into town for a wedding shower that burt and i attended as well...it was held at the wine cellar, and then we headed over to a "new" bar called sideways...burt and i weren't sure how new it was since this was only our third night out without mccoy...it probably has been open for year or more...man, do we feel old! we actually got dressed up and stayed out til midnight!

the next day, bridget and barry came over...auntie b brought mccoy some st. patrick's day goodies...st.patrick's day has always been a huge holiday in my family...when i was in grade school, we were dressed from head to toe in green, our milk in our cereal was dyed green with food color, our sandwich bread had green sprinkles on it...green was everywhere...but we loved it! as we got older, some of the traditions have faded...but now that mccoy is here, it's exciting to start all over again...nothing but green this year...green beans, zucchini, peas, broccoli oh my! mccoy better watch out...

video time

mccoy is rolling! he rolled around 4 months, but after that he had no interest in doing it again...he probably thought, 'alright, i'll roll already, but no more!'...now, he is rolling and with a purpose...

and now the other way...

i LOVE this video...these are the times that just catch you off guard, and i was lucky enough to have my camera right next to me!!! i was using the lint roller to get some pug hair off my arm and, well, that just tickled mccoy...

i had to take mccoy with me to work one day last week...he ate his food there and played with all of the girls...when we got home (it's only a 7 minute drive), i found him like this...so sweet!another day, we went for a walk in our new stroller...he really enjoyed it, and you can see his two bottom teeth good here...i think he has been teething for awhile with the top ones but no sign of them yet...

last monday, mccoy and i went to babysit max clark again...only this time, max was awake the whole time! we had fun playing with cars, watching yo gabba gabba, and especially knocking elmo over...here are a few pics of max checking out mccoy...a nice little hug...

the other day i was cooking with lemons, so we decided to let mccoy try one...he kept staring at the camera the whole time but continued to eat the lemon...burt loves lemons so he must take after him! i almost didn't post this cause it seemed mean, but i promise he smiled afterward!

mccoy is not crawling yet, but we are really working on it...when i put him on the blanket, i put toys in front of him...instead of crawling to them, he just pulls the blanket closer to him and the toys come that way...since he loves his food, i decided to put that in front of him... he did not appreciate that one bit!

busy day!

last monday, mccoy had a very busy day...first, drew deimel came down from minnesota to visit with friends and family, so they swung by our house to have a play date...i know the next four pictures are all similar but i did have about 20 of them...shea and i just sat in front of them, taking picture after picture...we had such a fun time together...thanks shea and drew!!!

next, we went to amy clark's house to watch her son, max, while she went to the doctor...we were all excited for the boys to play together, but when we got there, max was finishing his nap, or so we thought...turns out, max decided to take a four hour nap that day....mccoy and i improvised...introducing ELMO! mccoy has never seen tickle me elmo before...he was alittle shocked at first, then he went straight for the eyeballs!

right before amy got home, max woke up, and the boys were playing all over the floor...they were so cute...i love mccoy playing with other children...he is a little shy right now, but he is warming up to all the action!

we will be heading over there today as well, so hopefully, there will be more playing!!!
