happy anniversary!

going on 6 years! burt and i got married on april 24th of 2004...on a day that was similar to this past saturday, very rainy all morning and then absolutely beautiful...burt and i decided to head out to springfest on dickson street with mccoy...we had such a great time and kind of felt like tourists...in and out of all the shops! mccoy checking out the new yogurt place, orange mango, in the underwood building...it's so cute in there...but no yogurt for you mister, yet...
next, we stopped at another new place in the underwood building called big momma's, a coffee and espresso shop...

then it was lunch time... we posted up on the sidewalk, and mccoy got the biggest kick watching everyone...

i think i took at least 20 pictures of us in this spot, and this was the only descent one...i guess that's what you get for doing it yourself...

overall, we had a great time...i can't believe how blessed we are to have each other and then to have such an amazing son, we truly are lucky!

box ride with a big 10 month old...

10 months old today!!!

since we are renovating our kitchen (more on this later), i have had to take everything out of the cabinets...so mccoy got a fun ride in the box... wheeeeee!

we will be going to his 9 month check up tomorrow (a day after his 10 month day)...so far though...
weight...21 lbs...he has dropped into the 50th percentile from the 75th

height...we'll find out tomorrow

eating...mccoy loves to eat, today for lunch he will have rice, cooked ground turkey with cumin and applesauce...yogurt and avocado for a snack...and ranch seasoned chicken with veggies for dinner...everyday is alittle different, but we are constantly trying new things...there isn't much of anything that he won't eat...this past week, we have started one bottle of formula a day...i still have some frozen milk stored up, so he mainly has that, for now...

sleeping...he still sleeps great...we get two to three naps a day with lots of play time in between...

playing...loves to rough house with daddy, pet and pull on the dogs, loves watching mommy make funny faces, has to have a rattle of some sort in his hand, hates getting his face wiped off, anything to do outside especially watching the cars drive by...

overall temperament...mccoy is a very laid back baby...we are very fortunate to be blessed with him...he hardly ever cries, and when he does, it's for a reason like teething or past his bedtime...this is such a fun age, watching him learn so many new things, but the best is when he smiles and laughs...it just lights up our world!!! we love you, mccoy emerson

last saturday, mccoy and i got back from tulsa and headed to becca and brad kloss's house to hang out and play...josh and traci earnhart were visiting, so mccoy definitely entertained...kenzie trying to show him how to crawl... almost there...we're rockin' on all fours!
after the boys got back from playing golf, the kids decided to play on burt...

friday tulsa trip

we're back...in tulsa that is...so mccoy and i headed back to tulsa on friday to hang out with auntie b and uncle p, since he was in town until sunday... more dog time...
mccoy wants to get baxter so bad!

bridget, mccoy and i headed to io metro, which she manages, to check out some chairs for our house...here's the crew...they were so excited to get to see and meet mccoy since they practically know him from the blog!!!

tuesday tulsa trip

last tuesday, mccoy and i headed to tulsa to visit his uncle p and great grandmother...patrick was in town from new york for a performance...we spent the day playing, and then burt took mccoy home, so i could watch the performance...then on friday, mccoy and i returned to tulsa to visit some more (but more on that later)... mccoy got the biggest kick out of baxter and laidan...

after the performance, we went to this great restaurant that had a rooftop patio...i think we spent too much time talking because apparently, we took everything home to go...thanks patrick!

we had such a good time, and patrick was amazing as usual!

first razorback baseball game!

easter sunday, we headed out to the razorback baseball game with our good friends, julie and mark keeran...we had such an exciting day, and mccoy was having a blast...plus, we ended up winning at the bottom of the ninth with a grand slam...woohoo!julie brought us hog tattoos...mccoy is checking out all the fans!

we had such a great time out there and can't wait to go again...sitting out in the outfield is the best...go hogs!

daddy's birthday...

on april 1st, we celebrated burt's 31st birthday...we started out the morning with a surprise breakfast...his favorite 'a bran muffin'...no cinnamon buns or doughnuts for this guy...mccoy loved staring at the candle... for dinner, we went to herman's ribhouse for steaks...mccoy loved it...it was his first time to sit in a highchair at a restaurant...the waitress also sat us by the fish tank, which mccoy got a huge kick out of...
