three-in-one

okay...first off, i just had to show off mccoy's first two teeth!!! now...on to our very busy saturday! today, we had three birthday parties to go to in one day!!! here we are ready to tackle whatever play toys stand in our way...

i don't think mccoy is quite ready for bouncing gyms and token games...but he had fun watching all of the kids screaming around...

our second party was for liam stinson's first birthday! this was the first time they really got to play together and actually interact...

mccoy played with these rattles for awhile, they were lynne's when she was a little girl...

next, he enjoyed some puzzles...mainly just chewing on them... then, we were onto some real fun, ones that made noise and blew air...we had tons of fun, but our night is not over yet...

our last stop was indigo wren's first birthday party, my cousin's daughter...here, mccoy is enjoying some plums that i had made earlier in the week...they are super tart, so he makes the funniest faces!

apparently, he thought the plums were too funny...(please disregard my face in this picture!)

my mom got this wooden sewing machine that i found on etsy.com for indigo...

the party was so nice at my aunt's house...it was definitely the best way to end...now, we are all snugly in our pjs about to hit the sack!

morning fun with friends

mccoy said, "hey mom...meet my new friends!" he was having so much fun with his toys this morning...our latest edition to the group is 'boogers' the funny looking monster...the other night when we were putting him to bed, i told mccoy that i needed to get the boogers out of his nose...well, he just thought that was hilarious! so i kept saying boogers and he kept cackle laughing...and that's how the monster got his name... we also have 'lala', the lamb blanket from my aunt pam...he has to sleep with lala all the time...it is seriously so sweet...
then there is 'sockdog' in the background...mccoy likes to drool on sockdog's arms and legs...

SNOW DAYS!

we got so much snow this past weekend...i loved it because burt got to stay home on friday and play with us all day! i'm not sure exactly how much we got, but it seemed like almost 6 inches... i was trying to get a picture of how many inches on the railing, but it didn't turn out so well...
the chairs look like they have white cushions on them...

burt shovelling our driveway...i asked him if he wanted a jacket, but he said he was fine...for christmas, i got him a pair of snow trek gloves to put in his stocking...i think they are one of his favorite gifts...

the next day, we were much more successful, and we got to build a better snowman...he is definitely digging the snowman...

burt didn't think you could see the snowman well in the picture, so he added his own creative touch...mccoy thought his new alien friend was just hilarious...

such a cutie! seeing this picture makes me want to just scoop him up and hug and kiss on him...we love him so much!!!

daddy time and 6 month stats!!!

i know i have been really bad about blogging lately...but we have been just hanging out together not doing too much...i can't believe that mccoy is almost 7 months old!!! i totally forgot to post his 6 months statistics...he is doing great, he got three shots as well as his flu shot, and we went ahead and did the h1n1...he did well with all of them, but i probably won't ever do that many at once again...

height...27 inches...75th percentile

he is enjoying sitting up and playing with his toys...he is still all about the bouncer...he definitely gets going in that thing...he likes the johnny jump up, but doesn't realize all of it's possibilities yet...he got a walker for xmas and he is just now able to move it about an inch on the very tips of his toes...he is enjoying books more and more, which makes me proud...he loves some food...so far, we have had cereal, zucchini, peas, and butternut squash...next, sweet potatoes, applesauce and pears...anyway, here are some cute pics of burt and mccoy... he loves to eat the books

mccoy loves his grub... we have done rice cereal, avocado and zucchini...the zucchini was a little tart for him at first, but each day gets better... for right now, i am steaming and pureeing his veggies, and it's actually pretty easy...i just make a batch and freeze half of it for later in the week...we'll see how long i keep this up...next up on the menu...peas, please!

new bathtime routine

mccoy has moved to the big tub...unfortunately, burt and his knees have too! i'm sure we will work out the kinks soon, but for now, this works... he loves his bathtime...now he is able to kick the water in the tub...before, he was all cramped up in the sink!

look, mom, what i did!

it was a snowy day on sunday, and we missed the snow up here over christmas, so we decided to get out in it...mccoy was so proud of his snowman (okay, i might be exaggerating alittle...i don't even know if he knew it existed)

i got a new camera for christmas...and i love using it and trying to figure it out...everything is so much clearer...he's even cuter now...thanks mom and dad!!!

our family photo at dinner...we decided on new year's eve to just spend it at home with our family...but after i finished feeding mccoy, we got antsy...we hadn't been out to eat in awhile and we never know exactly how mccoy will act...but we had such a wonderful time... mccoy is starting to enjoy sitting up in his carseat...as long as there is something to play with...also, notice the drool!
