easter fun

for easter, we headed down to dallas...the weather was so nice, and the boys love strolling around to look at all the ducks that hang out at lucky and papa's house

we dyed easter eggs on the patio, but this year, i used kool-aid to dye them...i found it off pinterest and it was so simple...not smelly at all and mccoy loved pouring the packets into the cups...every time we buy eggs now, he wants to "paint" them

okay, so there might be a few pictures of durham wearing these bunny ears that gracie sent him...but he is just too cute in them...

when it's just me and the boys, sometimes things get a little crazy...i liked to say i was in the kitchen or not looking when mccoy did this, but i was right in front of him laughing the whole time! he looked so silly...i took him in the bathroom to look in the mirror, and he thought it was awesome! i think i might still be finding purple paint in his ears!

you are sitting up so good now...getting close to crawling
you like to lunge forward for mccoy's toys and anything in your reach...we call you handsy since you always want to be holding something...your favorite is mommy's hair right above the ears...i think i have a good hunk of short pieces where you have ripped them out!

we pretty good into solids now....trying to feed you about three times a day...some jar food and some of it i have made. of course, you love fruit and oatmeal...you weren't too sure about the turkey...either the texture or mommy's cooking. you don't eat a lot at each feeding since you are too busy staring at mccoy. you are definitely more concerned with what he is doing. you are still nursing some, but luckily we have stored up a good deal of milk! you drink milk 8, 11, 2, 5 and 7:30...and eat after the 8, 11 and 5.

you sleep pretty good, but lately at night, you have been getting up and crying...no actually screaming...we thought you were teething and then we thought you had an ear infection but you're as fit as a fiddle...we finally put a night light in your room and so far that has helped a little...the doc says it's just a phase....luckily, mccoy never budges during these fits even though your rooms are next door to each other. thankfully, both go down easy, asleep by 7:45!

mccoy loves to form tackle you or clothesline you, but you think it hilarious...we just always make sure there is a pillow behind you!

wedding trip to dallas...

on the weekend of october 22nd...we headed down for a dallas wedding with one of burt's closest friends...the rehearsal dinner was texas chic themed...it was cute seeing everyone all countryed-up...cowboy boots and turquoise galore

we stayed with aunt mandy and uncle aaron, and the boys definitely wore each other out!

the wedding was at the marie gabrielle, and it was absolutely beautiful!
