durham's christening

durham leahy box was baptized at first united methodist church...

he wore the box family christening gown that has been used for many generations

afterwards, we went to east side grill to have a wonderful brunch

it was such a beautiful day, and we are truly blessed to have found a church that we call home!

the month of september...

the month of september has been a very busy one...i think every weekend, we were either gone or had some big event at the house...

enjoying a little reading with the boys

on labor day weekend, we headed up to the roach's house for hudson's 2nd birthday...mccoy loved the bouncy neigh neigh

then the next day, we got to ride on some real neigh neighs!

another weekend, the boys and i headed to tulsa to see auntie b while burt went to new orleans...

we went to the aquarium where mccoy saw lots and lots of nemos!

then we went to this park near auntie b's house where they had some very unconventional toys...this is some swingy thing that goes around and around

they also had some really neat water fountains that you could run though...mccoy got a kick out of those until he got totally drenched then he was done

one random day, mccoy kept talking about nemo but it was too late to turn on the movie, so i found him his swim diapers with nemo on it...now, we all have nemo heads!

another weekend, we took our first official family road trip down to little rock for madeline's 1st birthday party...i can't even believe that she is already one...but then again, i have two kiddos now and that still is wild to me...

i think it is fair to say mccoy liked his piece of cake and maybe some other random ones too

i was so impressed that this family shot turned out...two out of four smiling is pretty good!

we stayed in hot springs that night so that we could go see g.g. emily (great grandmother emily) the next morning...this was the first time for her to meet durham

mccoy loves this harmonica, but he was trying to share it with durham (so sweet)...unfortunately, durham doesn't understand how to blow yet :)

all in all, we have had a lot of fun...durham also got baptized but i'm posting those pictures separate...now, i'm loving this weather and decorating for fall!

happy 4 months baby d!

woohoo...we love four months old!
durham's 4 month doctor went very well.
his stats:
weight...15 pounds 11 ounces...a little above 50%
height...25 inches...a little above 50%
head was 75%

right now...he loves to laugh and is very ticklish under his neck. of course, mccoy is his favorite subject to watch. not a huge fan of the bottle. sometimes he would rather not eat for awhile than take a bottle, but he is never fussy about it. we just moved him into his room and so far so good...most nights. he sleeps from 8 to 5:45. one of my favorite moments is during one of the middle of the night feedings, after he is done, he just looks at me and starts grinning. it makes me melt every time. i probably spend an extra 15 to 20 minutes in there just smiling away. we all love the swaddle...he protests at first but quickly settles down. he is the most relaxed and chilled little boy. i know a lot has to do with him being the second, and we are definitely more comfortable and confident, but every day and night, he just rolls with us. my other favorite thing about him is his sweet little feet. for some reason, i just love these little toes, especially his pinky toe...it's so long and skinny!

we had such a wonderful day with mccoy, and i can't believe that he is already two...what a fun age to watch him grow and learn new things and see that sparkle in his eyes each time! we love you so mccoy!
